Damn Boat, guess I'll Play my Guitar.

Got up nice and early to go fishing. Pulled the cover off the boat in the rain and realized that both batteries for my trolling motor were dead.....so no fishing. Haven't been out since June...maybe next weekend.

The band played a second gig, in the rain. That's all it does in the Chicago suburbs anymore. We played a Hearse Rally..yes the kind of hearse that you put dead bodies in and drive them to the cemetery. What a strange bunch of people.

Anyway, we went on at about 5:45, just in time to watch the skies open up and start pouring. We basically played the same set that we played last time, but added, You Really Got Me (Kinks style), Brown Sugar and Honky Tonk Woman (a very streamlined version). Then the band that was supposed to come on after us decided not to play and we started to recycle some tunes. That went OK until I tried to play through Brown Sugar horribly out of tune. Then we tried to play some new tunes on the fly and that was basically a train wreck. Due to the rain there was nobody watching at that point so no biggie.

We are going to add "Feelin Alright?" - Traffic, "Takin Care of Business" - BTO and "Lagrange" - ZZ Top beginning next Wednesday.
