Best Albums of all Time

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame put out it's list of the top 200 Albums of all time......

I've got 20 out of the 200, only 10%. Here are my top 10 and where they ended up on the list:

2) Van Halen - Van Halen 60 Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
3) Triumph - Survellience N/A Michael Jackson - Thriller
4) Triumph - Allied Forces N/A Led Zep - IV
5) Metallica - Ride the Lightening 138 U2 - Joshua Tree
6) Led Zeppelin - IV 4 Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
7) AC/DC - Back in Black 17 Carole King - Tapestry
8) Ozzy - Blizzard of Ozz 153 Bob Dylan - Highway '61 Revisited
9) The Cult - Sonic Temple N/A Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
10) Boston - Boston - 43 Nirvana - Nevermind

Of the RR HoF list I would never even consider purchasing Thriller, Tapestry, Highway '61, or Nevermind. I think these ablums are crap (obviously others disagree). Few others on the list I think are garbage:

21 Shania Twain - Come on Over ---- uggh
26 Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill ------ Alanis Morrishit is more like it
28 Eminem - Marshall Mathers ----- OMG (I would rather listen to the Femmes)
31 Beastie Boys - License to Ill ----Now I like the Beastie's as much as the next guy but top 200?
50 Green Day - Dookie ---- sigh and I like some Green Day, but top 50?
63 Eminem - Eminem Show - Two in the top 200, you gotta be kidding me.

I give up, the Freakin Dixie Chicks are on the list 3 times. I can't go on (OK I will)...what a travesty. Outkast twice??? Will Smith??Jay-Z several times...OMG this list sucks ass....Enya..WTF???Avril Lavigne??? It keeps getting worse...Shakira...nice ass but uhh no....NAS..what or who the hell is that? Sade?..are you kidding me? Kenny-G, Beck, Christina Aguilera.....This list sucks.....My list of the top 10 is better and I could come up with a better 200 list.

urrr, yeah I like that band

Playing poker with Khyle and others, the host had a varied selection of music which included things like Fine Young Cannibals, Pink, Stones etc. The Violent Femmes came on ...blister in the sun I think it was. I casually mentioned that I hate the Femmes, you would have thought I bashed the Beatles, or the Stones or Beethoven. I couldn't believe it. I mean really is there any less talented band then the Femmes? Maybe the New York Dolls, they might be worse. Sex Pistols, they suck pretty bad too. I guess you could say I'm not much of a punk rocker...New Punk rock, well that is a different story, although new punk is really just Rock 'n' Roll.

Anyways, I was surfing the net the other day and came across the Honeymoon Suite website. Well after all the Femmes bashing, I have to admint....I'm a Honeymoon Suite fan. Yes I'm embarrased..................

EVH gonna try it again.

Hopefully he won't order a case of champagne after this one (can't say I didn't see this coming after the tour was cancelled):

I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you there is no Van Halen.
I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That’s why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110% that I feel I owe you and want to give you.
Some of the issues surrounding the 2007 Van Halen tour are within my ability to change and some are not. As far as my rehab is concerned, it is within my ability to change and change for the better. I want you to know that is exactly what I’m doing, so that I may continue to give you the very best I am capable of.
I look forward to seeing you in the future better than ever and I thank you with all my heart.
