Block Party

Well the band played the annual block party. Overall we played for about 3 hours and for the most part it went pretty well (I think). Couple of Trainwrecks in the third set and our singer was having issues with a cold and was losing his voice.

We started with All Right Now (Free) and I struggled a bit with the solo (as usual my knees were shaking when we started). The Sets were as follows:

Set one:

  1. All Right Now - Free
  2. American Girl - Tom Petty
  3. Living After Midnight - Judas Priest (Singer forgot most of the lyrics)
  4. Walk On - Deep Purple
  5. Run to You - Brian Adams
  6. Santa Monica -
  7. Already Gone - Eagles
  8. Pink Houses - Mellancamp
  9. Just What I Needed - Cars
  10. Good - Better than Ezra

Set 2:

  1. Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
  2. Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms
  3. Shine - Collective Soul
  4. Get Over It - Eagles
  5. Ready for Love - Bad Company
  6. My Own Worst Enemy - Default (or maybe Lit can remember)
  7. Rumbleseat - Melloncamp
  8. Superstitious - Stevie Wonder
  9. Day Tripper - Beatles
  10. Burning for You - Blue Oyster Cult

Set 3

  1. Swing Town - Steve Miller
  2. Aint that a Shame - Cheap Trick
  3. Love Ain't No Stranger - White Snake
  4. Sweet Home Alabama - Skynard
  5. All Summer Long - Kid Rock
  6. Gloria
  7. Walk This Way - Aerosmith (Trainwreck)
  8. Wasting my Time - Default
  9. Taking Care of Business - BTO
  10. Lime Light - Rush ( just after the solo it turned into a Trainwreck)

We had some other songs that we had planned to play including

  • Slow Ride - Foghat
  • LaGrange - ZZ Top
  • Rocky Mtn Way - Joe Walsh
  • Kyptonite - 3 Doors Down
  • Johnny B. Goode -

But we were getting tired and somebody called the cops because we were to loud.

We got a lot of good comments from the people that were there, but who knows if you can believe them as they are my neighbors. We tried out our new band name, Late Night Joe and the Dead Livers my guess is we will continue the search for a new name.
